Themes

Choose IQ Light or IQ Dark. Both put the IQ blue mark and labels in your workspace.

Choose a Claude Code theme

/theme

Select IQ Light or IQ Dark. The IQ mark, pane headings and routing labels use IQ blue. Use Settings in /iq to switch the animation off.

The terminal shows the waving ASCII iQ flag while Claude works. Home has a larger version. The Claude desktop app's Code tab is not verified for IQ Code yet.

Match your terminal background

A plugin cannot paint your terminal's own background, so the background comes from your terminal profile. Optional profiles for Terminal.app, iTerm2 and Ghostty are in the plugin's extras/terminal/ folder and in the public IQ Code repository under extras/terminal/, and the README there says how to import each one. Nothing is installed for you.

  • macOS Terminal: open IQ-Light.terminal or IQ-Dark.terminal, then choose the profile in Terminal Settings → Profiles.
  • iTerm2: open Settings → Profiles → Colors → Color Presets → Import, select the matching .itermcolors file, then choose that preset from the same menu for your profile.
  • Ghostty: copy the included ghostty/iq-light or ghostty/iq-dark file into ~/.config/ghostty/themes/, add theme = iq-light (or iq-dark) to ~/.config/ghostty/config, then restart Ghostty.

For other terminals, set the profile background to #f1f3f4 for IQ Light or #1f2023 for IQ Dark. These terminal profiles do not change the Claude desktop app's background.

Keep your existing theme

Use /theme to choose another Claude Code theme at any time. Your terminal profile is a separate setting; restore it in your terminal's preferences.
